Ladies: Help to protect our sisters in Africa. You might have heard of the ‘Bras for Africa’ appeal. In parts of Africa a woman not wearing a bra is considered to be not only poor but also without male family members. This exposes a woman to the dangers of sexual violence. Wearing a bra actually protects women from such violence as perpetrators will worry that she has a husband, brother or father who will protect them. Millions of women are too poor to buy a bra.
Sr Pat is collecting used bras for another Sister who sends them on to a charity in Africa. Please help by giving used bras (any style, any size) to Sr Pat or Carol. Thank you.
