… is a global prayer movement inviting Christians to pray during the days between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know our Lord, Jesus Christ. The movement concludes today with a special event in Trafalgar Square between 4pm and 6pm and we are all invited. I hope we as a Church will feel moved to attend and show our solidarity with Christians all over the world as we pray for the coming of God’s kingdom.
We have been asked to offer the following prayer daily as part of our preparation, please use this prayer at home knowing we are doing so with Christians across the world.
Almighty God
Your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom;
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen.
