The organ was moved into St Michael's, Wood Green in the early 80's by Bishop & Son of London.
It was built by Bishop & Son originally in the early 1900's. During the move the specification was improved.
The stops that were altered have an asterisk beside them.
(TC = the stop goes down as far as Tenor C)

The original organ was removed from the church and replaced with another instrument situated in the North West corner. The choir pews were moved at the same time to a new central position at the West end of the church behind the font.

We now use an electronic keyboard - YAMAHA2000PSR - which plays MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) files, allowing us to have a much wider variety in style of music. The introduction of this form of accompaniment came about after a fruitless search for an organist. For many months we employed pianists. Organists not only seemed very reluctant to give the necessary commitment, but were also becoming quite expensive to employ. A few MIDI files can be found below for you to sample at your leisure.

Organ design - what could have been The Chester Organ that was bought
The organ is a Wm Hill & Son & Norman & Beard 'Chester Organ' (above right), of the kind first designed for Roger Fisher of Chester Cathedral (1975). The first Chester was designed to fit into an ordinary room yet handle music from a large repetoire. It is an 'extension' organ, based around two ranks of pipes - Gemshorn (flue) and Flute (stopped). The design on the left was a proposed case for Bowes Church, which would have hung on the west wall.
