st michael's  sunday school

Jesus' word for today:

our sunday school is a very special place, where we go each week to learn more about how Jesus loves us, and how he wants us to do our very best to follow him.

The Sunday School used to meet in an old 'shelter' behind St Michael's, but for four years, they have met in a temporary portacabin while plans for a new building have been drawn up - and fund raising organised.

Initially, we had to raise over ?6,000 to buy and install the portacabin. With a generous grant from the Church Urban Fund, we soon had the temporary building in place - but with planning permission for just five years; we desperately need to complete the project to build our new home because our Sunday School has continued to grow, and has the potential to continue growing.

The Annexe Project is completed. For more details about the Project please click HERE. The sale of the Good Shepherd Mission building in Berwick Road provided the greatest share of the funds needed to build the Project (approx ?150k).
Its wonderful to note the generosity of members of our community - who have given personal donations. The parish has raised some ?26,500.
