St Michael's Youth Council

Our Youth Council is a forum for the young people of St Michael's.
Mirroring a Parish Council, our youngsters meet to discuss matters of common interest, which may be passed directly to the P.C.C. Its our informal way of bringing younger members directly into the formal decision making processes of the parish.
The Youth Council also play a major role in leading our Sung Mass once a month. This is part of our response to new expressions of Church in our parish. They prepare and perform parts of the liturgy*, and take over the running of all lay ministries for the mass too.
* welcoming, serving, reading, praying etc. & using the homily slot for short plays . .
