Pentecost - the Spirit of God poured out on the apostles
made them into
a great people - triumphantly singing the Father's praises.
This is the Church - a new humanity, alive with new breath
telling the
whole
world about a new crowning happiness.
GOOD NEWS about the forgiveness of sin :
about what eye had never seen, nor ear heard,
nor
had man's heart hitherto experienced.
Now is not the time for fear - for withdrawal into oneself its the time for the Spirit to break down all barriers
and to lead us to the place where God waits.
