ORDINARY TIME
 lectionary: YEAR C

Luke's Gospel portrays Jesus as the Good Shepherd,
as one who manifests the infinite tenderness of God.
In him heaven visited earth. He is inclined towards the poor, the sick,
sinners, towards those on the margins of society, towards all those who suffer or are needy.
His merciful love knows no frontiers - the Good News is for all, and the pagans
will themselves one day with it with enthusiasm.

Luke's second book - The Acts of the Apostles, is witness to all this.
The message is clear.
In Jesus salvation, peace and joy
have come for all mankind.
 He draws us onto the road going up to Jerusalem, and teaches us to pray to the
Father who pours out his Spirit on all flesh.
